Leaking taps is a common thing we hear in houses, and it can add so much moisture to the home’s atmosphere. Also, in a building, many things add moisture to the atmosphere, and we don’t usually notice them.
Humidity Meter and controlling humidity in a building
If you notice any signs of high humidity, confirm it with your Humidity Meter. Many things are there to do for controlling the high moisture level in the atmosphere. Finding the root cause is the first step.
* Increase the ventilation by fixing ventilating fans and opening the windows.
* Increase the ventilation in vulnerable areas such as the laundry room, bathroom, and the kitchen.
* increasing the temperature would lower the humidity levels, but it would make you feel uncomfortable to stay in the house.
* Make sure the attic and wall insulation doing their job properly.
We experienced this scenario mostly in rainy days. When the air contact with colder surfaces, condensation occurs. Well, it’s the reverse process of evaporation. When you keep a glass of cool water, the same process takes place. It happens on rough surfaces like walls too, but we don’t usually notice.
